Troy Clardy, Voice of the Stanford Daily Update
"We're going to take people around The Farm, and we're going to have a lot of fun doing it, too."
Troy Clardy
College sports activities have begun in earnest. And for Stanford Cardinal sports fans, a new radio show, the Stanford Daily Update, gives you everything you need to know about the latest in Stanford Athletics in just three minutes.
Troy Clardy enters his sixteenth consecutive season of following the Cardinal as a broadcaster, reporter and columnist and serves as the Voice of the Stanford Daily Update during the 2008-09 athletic seasons. Clardy hosted and produced pre-game, post-game and coaches shows for Stanford football and men's basketball radio broadcasts from 1997 to 2004. For three seasons, he also served as a co-host and reporter for the Stanford Cardinal Farm Report on FSN Bay Area. Clardy also provides color commentary for the San Jose SaberCats radio broadcasts and hosts ESPN's official weekly arena football podcast. A graduate of Stanford, during his undergraduate days on the Farm, Clardy was KZSU's lead announcer for football and baseball, calling Cardinal appearances at the Liberty Bowl, Sun Bowl and College World Series.
"It's always fun to be a part of the Stanford Athletics product, and it's an honor to be, in a sense, the everyday voice of Cardinal sports," Clardy says.
The Stanford Daily Update airs weeknights at 7:30pm on KTRB (860 AM) in San Francisco and are now available in podcast form.
